Teachers at Brayton strive to "make a difference" for their students. To that end, they analyze data on each child, and plan and implement instruction to help all students meet established goals and move forward in their learning. We are proud that many of our Brayton students are recognized for their accomplishments as they move on to the middle and high schools.Website Facebook

Learn more about Brayton Elementary School.
At Brayton Elementary School we believe that all children who have confidence in themselves and work to the best of their ability will achieve success. To ensure that all children will reach their potential, we will create a supportive and nurturing school environment in which all children and adults are respected, trusted and an important part of our school; maintain high expectations and promote academic excellence; differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population; prepare students to become life-long learners.
Our active PTO generously funds and supports many clubs and activities. Programs for our families, including Bingo Night, school musicals, and variety shows, bring students and families back to school for enriching experiences. After school enrichments clubs are provided throughout the school year and address a wide variety of student talents and interests. In addition, the school hosts many educational events such as cultural assemblies, heritage days, family learning nights and parent educational opportunities.
Our school is a learning community in which teachers take pride in serving as models of life-long learning. As professionals who want to be current in their field of study, our teachers research, attend courses and share ideas and resources throughout the year. Instructional and Literacy coaches provide instructional workshops and in-class support to the teaching staff, as well. As a faculty, we engage in teacher book clubs and staff meetings focused on learning strategies to help us better address the needs of our students.
Parents, staff and students all work together to create a positive climate for learning and growing. Our Brayton PTO is responsible for providing our students with a variety of services and activities, as well as teaching supplies for the classroom. Our cultural arts program is fully funded by the Brayton PTO and helps to provide interesting and engaging activities for our students. The PTO website provides information regarding all aspects of the school, and the weekly eBlast helps to keep parents fully informed of the happenings at our school. The parent tutor program and parent ESL program, both unique Brayton programs, provide supportive instruction for individual students and parents. Support provided for our teachers is strong and greatly appreciated.
