Through open and collaborative communication among students, staff, parents, and the community, the Little Egg Harbor School District will provide modern facilities that support a culture of high expectations for individual achievement for all students. Students and staff will practice the value of good stewardship of resources by maintaining a sustainable environment for learning. A robust system of support, intervention, and enrichment will include a diverse range of experiences through access to supportive technology, after school programs, township agencies, and health and wellness initiatives that encourages, institutes, and rewards life-long learning in our students.
Staff have been trained in the implementation of Schoolwide Reading and Writing Fundamentals, in addition ot the Next Generation Science Standards. Basic Skills and Special Education teachers have been trained in the Wilson Just Words Program to provide targeted interventions. Grades 4 and 5 are semi-departmentalized: ELA/SS and Math/Science. Staff committees created new curricular documents and pacing guides, as well as revised our standard-based report cards. This past year, they pilot several new curriculum programs aligned with state standards.
A variety of free afterschool programs are offered at the Frog Pond School including chess, kickball and several book clubs offered by the Ocean County library. The Little Egg Harbor Community School also offers other after school programs for students.

The Frog Pond Elementary School, formerly known as the Intermediate School, opened its doors in September of 1989.
We encourage and fully support parental involvement in our school. Lunch Buddy, Open House, Family Reading Night, Parent Resource Center, volunteer opportunities, class parties and afterschool programs run by parents.
