Vision: Passaic Public Schools will become one of the best school systems in New Jersey. Mission: Passaic Public Schools will provide an excellent education that prepares our students for college and to earn high paying jobs. Focus: Passaic Public Schools will provide all students the opportunity to graduate high school with a career certification and/or a minimum of 15 college credits.
In addition to our regular efforts around the development of common assessments to monitor student progress and inform both curriculum development and instruction, Passaic Preparatory Academy partnered with Bergen Community College to receive funding and support from the National Resource Network to build the High School Pathways programming.
Passaic Preparatory Academy students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of clubs and activities. Students are encouraged to join student organizations in the school.
Passaic Preparatory Academy offers academic support programs outside of the regular school day that are both subject based and designed to assist students with state and national exams.
Passaic Public Schools places a strong emphasis on adult learning programs. Staff participate in three scheduled professional development days during the school year, and participate in a wide variety of professional learning experiences offered after school and during the summer. During the school day, teachers regularly collaborate and learn as a community during grade level meetings, professional learning communities, and staff meetings.
Passaic Public Schools provides a wide variety of services and supports to our students. Students identified as English Language Learners receive a variety of instructional learning supports. Students with disabilities have access to many learning support programs and personnel. Students identified as in need of additional academic support receive intervention services and have access to help before and after school.
At Passaic Preparatory Academy, the parent and community support and contribute to our learning. Through guest speakers, opportunities to visit local government officials, and family learning events, our school strives to learn together.
