Upper Greenwood Lake School hosts a College Day to advertise the importance of attending a college/university, thus, prompting a preparation for our K-6 students before entering the Middle School.
The District has a Child Study Team that collaborates with all of the schools to provide students supports and services. Upper Greenwood Lake School's I&RS Team meets on a bi-monthly basis to implement action plans to help students with behavior and/or learning difficulties.

The building was built in 1966; a one level building. The media center also serves as our STEM center. The Gymnasium serves as a gym, cafeteria, and auditorium, all-in-one. The building has a garden where each grade level works on a specific vegetable/plant. A state of the art water filtration system was installed.
The School is committed to the safety of the students and staff. A Safety committee constantly goes over procedures and the hypothetical scenarios to act accordingly. Communication with the community has been a building goal; utilizing social media, the Remind application; the Honeywell Alert System. The school has a preschool program which consists of a morning and afternoon session. Overall, Upper Greenwood Lake School takes great pride in it's identity as a school that values character education, history, science, and preparing its students to take care of their community.
